Deck & Fence Staining

Wood that stays protected, and looks warm again.

Decks, fences, pergolas, and porches, cleaned and prepped, then sealed with a stain that shields the wood from sun and rain without hiding the grain.

What we stain

Sealed against the seasons.

Tennessee sun and storms are hard on exposed wood. We clean and sand first, then apply a stain that soaks in, protects, and brings the grain back to life.

  • Decks, steps, and railings
  • Privacy and picket fences
  • Pergolas, porches, and posts
  • Cleaning, sanding, and sealing

Always included

The prep that makes a stain last.

A stain is only as good as the wood underneath it. Every project includes the cleaning and prep that help the finish soak in and hold up.

Clean and strip

Dirt, mildew, and failing old finish washed and stripped away so the new stain can bond to clean, open wood.

Sand and repair

Rough spots sanded smooth, popped fasteners reset, and splinters and trouble areas handled before any stain goes down.

Stain and seal

A penetrating stain worked into the grain and sealed for protection against UV, water, and Tennessee weather.

Good to know

Deck & fence staining questions.

Should I stain or paint my deck?
For most decks and fences, stain is the better choice. It soaks into the wood instead of sitting on top, so it protects without peeling and lets the natural grain show through. We will walk you through the options at your estimate.
How often does a deck need to be restained?
It depends on exposure and the product, but most decks benefit from a refresh every few years. Fences and vertical surfaces tend to last longer since they shed water. We will give you a realistic expectation for your wood.
What time of year is best for staining?
Dry, mild stretches are ideal so the stain can cure properly. We plan around the weather and avoid staining onto damp wood or right before rain.
Solid or semi-transparent stain?
Semi-transparent shows more grain and is easy to refresh; solid stain gives more color and hides age. We help you choose based on the condition of the wood and the look you want.
